Understanding Multi-Step Forms
A multi-step form is divided into multiple pages, with each page containing a specific set of fields. This approach reduces form fatigue and improves user engagement.
Steps to Create a Multi-Step Form with Forminator
- Install and Activate Forminator:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Plugins -> Add New.
- Search for “Forminator” and install it.
- Activate the plugin.
- Create a New Form:
- Navigate to Forminator -> Forms.
- Click Create and choose a blank form or a template.
- Give your form a name and click Create.
- Add Form Fields:
- Drag and drop the desired fields (name, email, text, etc.) from the left panel onto the form builder.
- Customize field labels, descriptions, and validation rules as needed.
- Insert Page Breaks:
- To create a new step, drag and drop the “Page Break” field from the left panel to the desired location in your form.
